These accommodations resemble miniature houses and feature living/dining area with fireplace, sofa, coffee table, side chair and dining table with four chairs. A kitchen area is furnished with full size refrigerator, stove, sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dishes, glasses and silverware for four guests; cookware is not included. A separate bedroom features one queen-sized bed (the Sam Houston has a double bed), antique dresser and night stand. A loft accessible only by ladder has two twin beds. These cabins have one bathroom, telephone and dial-up Internet access but, in keeping with our nature-focused environment, they don't have television sets. [Cabin Diagrams]

All six have outdoor decks with picnic tables and swings but two of them-Sam Houston and James Fannin-are not situated directly over a lake. Sam Houston is across the road from Swim Lake and James Fannin has a long front yard leading to Swim Lake.

Cabins Stephen F. Austin and William B. Travis share a wall and have a connecting deck door making them ideal for larger families or families vacationing together.

Breakfast for four and horse drawn carriage ride to the restaurant are included on Saturdays throughout the year; and daily except Sundays, during Spring Break and from Memorial Day weekend through August 15. We offer these cabins in five floor plans.

• $170 per night on weeknights (Sunday through Thursday)
• $185 per night on weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) and on Seasonal* weeknights
• $200 per night on Seasonal* Weekend nights
• $215 per night on Holiday nights
